Highly qualified and experienced music teachers are continuing the Foundation 59 music programs in a number of MP primary schools, building on the research that draws a direct correlation between music education and well being and music education and general cognitive development.

MPF employs two professionals who are highly trained in both music and teaching and who are both practicing musicians. With a focus on music as a language with a specific and highly developed literature, both Nicole Thorne and Maree Liddell build the skills of children using singing and movement to learn pitch and rhythm before transitioning to more sophisticated elements and instrumental diversity.

Children are strongly engaged in music lessons and teachers are encouraged by this engagement and this enhanced support. Individual talents are being unearthed and supported with music scholarships.
