Wendy, who will perform with Pere String Quartet says, “Music is great for kids. When they learn an instrument, they learn about self-discipline and practice and getting better at something and getting so much satisfaction from doing it. I’m really looking forward to the concert. I’m excited about the repertoire we’re playing.”

The repertoire features a piece by Dvorak, The American Quaretet, originally written for a string quartet, but here arranged for flute and string trio by Emmanuel Pahud, Principal Flute of the Berlin Philharmonic. This will be the first time it has been performed before in Australia.

The program also includes Mozart String Quartet in C Major K465, The Dissonance and Arthur Foote Scherzo for Flute Quintet.

Pere Quartet members: Peter Exton and Mary Allison (Violins), Gabby Halloran (Viola), Stephanie Exton (Cello).
